We service most areas throughout Northern Utah. Additional fees will be added for longer distances. At this time, we do not service any areas outside of Utah.
We currently are able to offer our services in the Salt Lake City limits on private property locations only.
Do you do private parties?
Yes. We are happy to customize your event to meet the needs of the occasion. For example, but not limited to weddings, quinceañeras, funerals, birthday parties, private events, church/community events, family reunions, anniversaries, holiday celebrations, and even photoshoots.
In what areas are you able to provide a horse drawn carriage ride?
Our carriages are well maintained, street legal, and have lights and signals to make them visible at night. We avoid heavy traffic areas and travel on roads that are easily accessible for the horses.

ARE THE HORSES AND DRIVERS EXPERIENCED TO DRIVE ON THE ROADS?
Our horses are well trained and have many years of city street carriage driving experience. Our drivers have many years of experience and are well trained in safely handling horses in a variety of settings.
WHAT IS THE REQUIREMENT FOR BOOKING A RESERVATION AND PAYING FOR MY EVENT?
A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of booking a reservation for your event. Full payment balance (which includes sales tax, credit card service fee), is due no later than 30 days before the event. Payment can be made by credit card, PayPal or Venmo. The booking reservation contract will be signed by both parties at the time of deposit. In the event a booking reservation is canceled, for example: due to severe weather, sickness of the wedding party, including Covid-19, etc., The Carriage Establishment will do their best to accommodate rescheduling the service/ride to a new date.
DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM FEE?
The minimum fee for a private horse drawn carriage ride is $75, but depends on location. This includes one-half hour of carriage riding time.
WHAT TYPE OF CARRIAGES AND HORSES DO YOU HAVE? HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN EACH VEHICLE HOLD?
We have three white Vis-à-Vis carriages (green interior, red interior, and purple interior) and one Wagonette. The carriage can hold four adults and two lap-children, and the Wagonette can hold 8-10 average adults.
We have five Percheron draft horses; Hank, Ella & Sam are brown and Blaze & Tux are white/light grey.
For our funerals, we provide a beautifully restored black horse drawn hearse. Our white Vis-a-Vis carriage may be used for funeral transportation for an infant/small child, depending on size.
WHAT ARE YOUR OPERATING HOURS?
We are open Monday through Saturday. Hours of operation are generally flexible between 8:00 am to midnight to accommodate your perfect Horse Drawn Carriage Experience.
WHAT DOES THE PRICE/QUOTE INCLUDE?
A requested price quote will include the horse, carriage, and carriage driver, transportation charges, and decorations.
